Job Description
We are OkCupid, the leading free online dating site. We use math to get you dates. We're growing like crazy due to the buzz about our product, and in particular the user experience that has changed the way people think about online dating. The Position
- Work closely with the product and technology teams
- Take features from the design stage through to production
- Build efficient, reusable systems for cross-platform development
- Develop, maintain, and optimize existing features
- Prototype and implement new features
Qualifications
- Thorough understanding of HTML/CSS
- Knowledge of JavaScript (beyond jQuery and other libraries)
- Solid understanding of AJAX and JSON
- Experience with SVN or another version control
- Basic familiarity with the UNIX terminal
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and multitasking skills
- Passionate about web and interface development
